Note: BU Wheelock minors do not meet the requirements for educator licensure, although some coursework may be applied to courses of study leading to licensure. For more information about these <a href=\"\/academics\/wheelock\/programs\/minor-in-education\/\">minors<\/a>, or to make an appointment to discuss requirements, contact the BU Wheelock Student Services office at 617-353-3177 or <a href=\"mailto:whestu@bu.edu\">whestu@bu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>*The College of Arts &amp; Sciences (CAS) offers a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/cas\/programs\/ba-in-science-education\/\">Bachelor of Arts in Science Education (with specialization in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)<\/a> as well as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/cas\/programs\/mathematics-statistics\/ba-mathematics-education\/\">Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics &amp; Mathematics Education<\/a> designed to give future educators a rigorous foundation in a primary area of science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), broad foundation in the natural sciences (through breadth studies), or mathematics, and the training necessary to excel as a classroom educator.
