{"id":101319,"date":"2026-04-28T14:02:42","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T18:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/?page_id=101319"},"modified":"2026-06-30T19:16:37","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T23:16:37","slug":"leave","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/questrom\/policies\/leave\/","title":{"rendered":"Withdrawal, Leave of Absence &#038; Reinstatement"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/policies\/withdrawal-leave-of-absence-and-reinstatement\/\">University Policy<\/a><\/h2>\n<h2>Questrom School of Business Policy<\/h2>\n<h3>Undergraduate<\/h3>\n<p>The following provisions governing voluntary withdrawals, leaves of absence, and reinstatement for undergraduates in the Questrom School of Business are in addition to the University policy above, including that policy\u2019s provisions concerning Leaves of Absence for Medical Reasons.<\/p>\n<p>A student wishing to voluntarily withdraw or take a leave of absence from the school must do so by submitting a signed request to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/usc\/leaveandwithdrawal\/\">University Service Center<\/a> (881 Commonwealth Avenue), where they may also meet with a member of the University Service Center staff.<\/p>\n<p>Any student who is absent for any reason from the school and returns after a period of three years must complete all requirements in effect at the time of return in order to receive the BSBA degree.<\/p>\n<p>No student who withdraws or takes a leave of absence may receive academic units for any portion of the courses taken during that term.<\/p>\n<h4>Reinstatement<\/h4>\n<p>Students returning from an official leave of absence should meet with their advisor. All others must reestablish their standing in the school. Students wanting to reestablish standing should contact the Questrom UDC, Suite 102.
