Teaching Emergent Bilinguals with Learning Disabilities

This course will be divided into two main parts, the first part will focus primarily on issues of assessment and identification of ELs with learning disabilities, while the second half will focus on legal implications and instructional practices for when dually classified students. To model the practice of and necessity for intentional and meaningful collaboration between Special Education and English Learner educators this course was co- developed and will be co-taught by a faculty member in Special Education and Language Education. 4 cr.
