Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology

Please note: This certificate program is on a moratorium for the 2014-2015 academic year. We are not accepting new students into the certificate program at this time.

The Certificate in Instructional Technology (CIT) is a 16-credit program that provides introductory instruction in supporting teaching, learning, and training with technology. Students focus on evaluating, designing, and utilizing technology-based resources that support education and training across a wide spectrum of learning environments.

The CIT is comprised of four 4-credit courses that may be completed on campus or online, in our advanced online format. Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in good standing from an institution accredited by one of the US Regional Accreditation agencies.

Courses include:

  • SED EM 590 Software for Curriculum
  • SED EM 601 Instructional Design
  • SED EM 610 Internet and WWW for Educators
  • SED EM 680 Distance Education Research and Design
