  • PDP WF 101: Sailing, Beginning
    Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Boating Swim Test or Waiver. This is an introductory course for those with little or no sailing experience. The course will explore boat rigging, basic nautical terminology, safety procedures, and elementary sailing maneuvers. The course meets for two hours once a week at the BU Sailing Pavilion and will be a combination of land-based lectures and practice as well as on the water instruction.
  • PDP WF 102: Kayaking
    Prereq: Successful completion of the Boating Swim Test. For those with little or no kayaking experience. Course includes: knots, terminology, self-rescue, and basic paddling maneuvers for single and double kayaks.
  • PDP WF 201: Sailing, Intermediate
    Undergraduate Prerequisites: PDP WF 101.
    Prerequisites: PDP WF 101 or the equivalent sailing experience and successful completion of the Boating Swim Test or Waiver. The course will introduce the technical skills and racing aspects of sailing for students who have completed an introductory sailing course or have had some sailing experience. The course meets for two hours once a week at the BU Sailing Pavilion and will be a combination of land-based lectures and practice as well as on the water instruction.
