Students directly enroll in University College Dublin (UCD)\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucd.ie\/quinn\/\">Quinn School of Business<\/a>&nbsp;from January through May, and then participate in an internship from May through early June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Business Courses at UCD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At UCD, courses are called modules and their units are called ECTS. Students on this program are required to take a minimum of 20 ECTS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students on the program receive the following BU units:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>3 BU units for any 5 ECTS course<\/li><li>4 BU units for any 7.5 ECTS course<\/li><li>5 BU units for any 10 ECTS course<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit UCD\u2019s Quinn School of Business Study Abroad webpage for information about&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucd.ie\/quinn\/internationalstudents\/studyabroadprogramme\/curriculum\/\">modules<\/a>. Please make note of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Students can select modules beginning with the number 1, 2, and 3, i.e. ACC10060, BMGT20080, and MIS30020.<\/li><li>Modules ending in a letter e.g. S, D, J etc, are&nbsp;<strong>NOT<\/strong>&nbsp;available to undergraduate students.<\/li><li>Generally speaking, modules beginning with 1 are introductory level, beginning with 2 are intermediate, and beginning with 3 are advanced level and&nbsp;<strong>students should pay particular attention to prior learning\/prerequisite requirements<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>BU Questrom School of Business students should refer to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/smgworld.bu.edu\/studyabroad\/mip\/#Courses\">Questrom\u2019s lists of pre-approved courses<\/a>&nbsp;at UCD before applying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Internship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Study Abroad will enroll students in a four-unit internship course. Throughout the course, students will discuss a variety of topics related to workplace dynamics and will gain familiarity with several cultural, political, social, and economic aspects of contemporary society in the region.<\/p>\r\n<p><em>QST IM 430 is not equivalent to any other Study Abroad internship course, and enrollment is required for all Questrom majors.
