As Director, Charisse McGhee-Lazarou oversees all aspects of Boston University’s Los Angles programs. Prior to joining Boston University LA, Charisse served as Director of Media Fellows & Assistant Professor of Communication at High Point University. Before that, she spent more than 20 years working in the media industry in producing and consulting roles, including at NBC as Vice President in primetime programming and as Vice President of Current Programs for LifeTime Television.

 

Charisse earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and African Studies from Oberlin College. She also has a Master’s in Education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
