Taking Inventory
Boston University's Year 2000 System Inventory Worksheet
The purpose of this worksheet is to help University offices,
departments, and centers inventory their software and hardware
so they can ascertain components they must modify or replace
prior to the Year 2000. We suggest that each office,
department, or center use this worksheet to list critical
University-owned computer hardware and software.
You can compare the results of your inventory with information we
have compiled for many Hardware and Software products found at this web site.
These tables record vendor compliance claims for products commonly
used at Boston University. The records on the web site represent the
cooperative effort of the Office of Information Technology, University
Information Systems, and the Medical Campus Office of Information
Technology to assist others throughout the University in hardware and
software evaluation.
We encourage those evaluating department and
office products to contact vendors of hardware and software not
found in the BU Y2K tables to help ascertain their
compliance status and to help determine the
department/office's course of action.
