Bio

Former Junior Research Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford; Lecturer in English, Leeds University, Visiting Associate Professor, Michigan State University, Reader in English and Head of Dept of English, use of English and Linguistics, University of the West Indies.
Books and articles on literature and crime history. Most notable as authority on Jack the Ripper and author of “The Official Encyclopedia of Scotland Yard“. Former broadcaster of LBC Radio’s weekly “Murder After Midnight”.
