Her expertise specifically lies in teaching academic writing for the past 27 years to non-native English speakers through innovative methods in national and international settings to native and non-native speakers of English. Pary places high value in fostering student interaction, both within and outside the classroom, and believes in nurturing student-student as well as student-teacher relationships.

Throughout her university career, Pary has played several roles in faculty development, including her past positions as the Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) and as a Faculty Consultant at the CTL and Faculty Consultant for Digital Learning Modules at the College of Arts and Sciences. In these roles, she actively contributed to the professional growth of her colleagues throughout the university.

Among her projects and research interests are the flipped model of learning, virtual reality, generative artificial intelligence, student response systems, video production, podcast creation, emerging media, etc. She strongly believes that technology has the potential to greatly enhance the educational experience if implemented in an efficient and purposeful way.

Due to her specific interest in student engagement and active learning in the classroom, Pary was one of the recipients of a Learning Technologies Development grant through BU. She led a program-wide effort to create a digital library of Flipped Learning Modules (series of online videos and activities on specific content area). The content of this program-wide project could be found here: https://www.bu.edu/teaching-writing/resources-for-teaching-writing/flipped-learning-modules/
