I'd like to welcome you to the Boston University Creative Writing Program web site, on which we hope you'll find a good deal of information about us and our workings.
To those of you thinking about applying to the program, I'd only like to say that we are perhaps the most venerable of all such MFA programs; certainly one of the finest; and, with our single year of residence and scholarly component, decidedly different. We are not the place for a leisurely discovery of yourself as a writer or person. What we are—well, I hope you'll get a slightly better sense of that in the following pages.
