Professor Christopher Martell was recently published in Social Education – the lead journal of the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS).
The article is titled Teaching America’s Past to Our Newest Americans: Immigrant Students and United States History. Martell co-wrote the article with Kerry A Dunne, a social studies educator in the Arlington Public Schools. In their article, Martell and Dunne offer “strategies and practical advice to social studies teachers about teaching American history to our newest Americans.”

NCSS is the largest professional association in the country dedicated to strengthening and advocating in social studies.
