Who markets our academic programs?

Marketing and recruitment for BU Wheelock academic programs is shared between three parties:

  • Boston University Admissions handles all marketing and recruitment for our undergraduate programs.
  • Wheelock’s Admissions Office directs and manages the recruitment process for our graduate programs.
  • Wheelock’s MarCom Office manages marketing and advertising efforts that support the recruitment work done by the Admissions team. Admissions and MarCom share the responsibility for planning and directing those marketing and recruitment efforts.

How can faculty support admissions efforts?

The best thing faculty can do to support our college’s admissions efforts is to read, read, read! Our data shows that students who hear from us first are far more likely to accept an offer of admission. The faster you and your colleagues are able to review applications to your program, the better your chances of admitting the students we accept.

If you’re traveling to a professional conference, repping our college at a fair, or doing your own outreach to a group of potential students, Admissions and MarCom can provide support. We can supply you with viewbooks that showcase our programs, banners to make your booth shine, and a few giveaway items to help spread our college’s name around.
