Cardiac Health Screenings

… reduce your risk of heart disease …

The cardiac health screenings have been set up to help you reduce your risk of heart (cardiovascular) disease, one of the leading causes of death in the United States. They don’t take long (about 30 minutes), and we hope that you will sign up and participate. The screenings take a look at your:

  • Non-fasting total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol levels (requires a small blood sample obtained through a finger-stick)
  • Blood glucose
  • Blood pressure
  • Body mass index

The screenings are:

  • Conducted by trained professionals from Maxim Health Systems
  • Reviewed by health educators, who will discuss your screening results and provide you with brochures about heart diseases and risk factors
  • Sponsored by Human Resources and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
