Description

Web publishers can use forms to receive questions or comments from users. Publishers can also use forms to collect data and valuable information from users.

In this class, you will learn the basics of creating and using forms. This class includes a hands-on practice session. For a complete description of topics covered, see the course outline. You can also view the entire course materials online.

Benefits

After completing this class, you will be able to:

  1. modify a form template for your own use.
  2. understand the basic commands to create input boxes, selection lists, pop-down boxes, scroll lists, and comment fields.
  3. make input fields required or optional.
  4. set delivery of form data to e-mail addresses of your choosing.
  5. create and modify a response page.

Prerequisites

HTML: Introduction or equivalent knowledge. An account on people.bu.edu, or access to a site on www.bu.edu, is recommended.
