In WebCT, users have a separate account for each course in which
they're enrolled.
In CourseInfo, each user has a single account. This account can
have different roles in different courses. For example, in one course
the account might have TA privileges. In another, it might have
only Student privileges. In another, it might have no access at
all.
In addition to the normal user roles, CourseInfo has an system's
administrative roles. Each account can also have a single administrative
role associated with it. For example, if an account has been given
the administrative role of Course Creator, this user has access
to course management functions in ALL courses on the system. Currently,
only NIS staff have these roles.
