While users are accustomed to scrolling vertically, they find it awkward to scroll horizontally. A Web page should fit within a standard window. Additionally, it is essential that a Web page's content not extend beyond the right margin of the paper when a user must print the page. To eliminate any need to scroll left and right, and to ensure that all pages print fully on a standard printer, we have designed all pages to display within a monitor that is 640 pixels wide. This size accommodates laptops, older monitors, and printers. To accommodate scroll bars and the default borders that browsers build in, we designed pages to be only 580 pixels wide. Users will have no problems viewing or printing these pages.
