people.bu.edu is a Web server at Boston University exclusively for students, faculty, staff, and organizations that want to publish on the Web. Departments interested in Web publishing should see Web Publishing for Academic and Administrative Units.

Individuals may want to publish pages detailing research findings, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, etc. Students can particularly benefit from using people.bu.edu in their job search -- publish your résumé online and potential employers have it at their fingertips.

Who is Eligible for this Service?

Students. This free service is open to all registered BU students, including students of BU Academy. It is also open to registered BU student organizations.

Faculty and Staff. people.bu.edu is open to all current faculty and staff members.

Guests. people.bu.edu is open to guests, including faculty not paid by BU, participants in the Evergreen program, post-doc candidates, researchers, and visiting faculty and scholars.

Guests who need preapproval. Before signing up for people.bu.edu, the following guests must request preapproval:

  • Chelsea Public School
  • Casual employees
  • All other individuals affiliated with BU
