    Steps to Publishing

Review and preview your Web pages.

Review: Like any printed document that your department publishes, the Web pages you produce are official publications of your department and this University. You should submit your Web pages to the same review and approval processes that are already in place for your department's printed publications.

Preview: In 1997, the Boston University home page was visited more than 1.7 million times. Through the first nine months of 2005, the BU home page was visited more than 15 million times. More people see the BU Web than any other publication of this University. The first time you put your pages on the Web, you should preview and test them fully. And each time you change a page, you should retest it. Because people use different browsers to view BU Web pages, you should view your pages in different browsers, too.
