Once you have created HTML, graphic, and other files for your Web
pages, you transfer them from your computer to a Web server. The
people.bu.edu server (people.bu.edu) hosts personal and group pages,
and the central server (www.bu.edu) hosts academic and administrative
departments.
Windows and Macintosh have different file transfer protocol (FTP)
programs for uploading files from a computer to a server.
Windows users should use Dreamweaver
or Absolute FTP, which is available for free from Boston University.
You can also use WS_FTP.
Macintosh users should use Dreamweaver
or Fetch,
which is free.
If you need help, please visit the PCSC Web
or send mail to pcsc@bu.edu.
