Referring site and referring URL

These reports indicate what site and web page visitors viewed prior to your site -- they include every referral that was logged by the server.

The Referring URL report is particularly useful because it provides specific information about the content that is drawing people to your site. You'll probably notice that a large percentage of the referring pages are from your own site or other BU sites--that's typical. Scan the page to find the major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, etc.) to see which are referring the most visitors to you. Take a look at the last entries--you may find that sites you didn't know existed are linking to yours!
