Use site reports to monitor and improve your site

Your first priority should be to continually develop and improve your site to increase both the quality and quantity of its content. Putting a site online and then sitting back and ignoring it not only will fail to attract new traffic, it will actually drive away returning visitors who quickly realize that there's nothing of new interest available for them. Site reports are a very useful tool in this process.

Correct or remove broken links

People will stay longer and return more frequently to your site if their experience is error-free and dependable. Use the broken links report each month to do a clean-up of your site.

Find out what's popular

Identify the most frequently visited pages on your site and consider increasing the number of pages devoted to that content. Note whether those pages have different navigation, design, etc. that people may find easier to use.

Use the referrer report to find out what types of sites and what specific topics people were browsing before they came to your site. Visit these sites and see why they are of interest to your visitors. Try to incorporate those elements into your own site.
