Search Words

The Search Word report is a summary of words that your visitors have typed into search engines that brought them to your site. You can use this report to get a better idea of what your visitors are looking for when they come to your site.

You'll also probably be surprised at a few of the terms--since every word is included in the list individually, some words that were typed as part of a phrase may seem out of place on their own. And, the list includes "junk" words, such as the, and, and a.

As you'll see later in the discussion of search engines, you can fine-tune the keywords on your pages with this information. Unfortunately, you don't have any way to know which words people who didn't find your site used.
