What Are Site Statistics
(and where do they come from)?

Site statistics reports are one of the most valuable resources available to web developers. In simplest terms, they're a summary of your site's usage and visitors. They include data about how many visitors have accessed your site, what pages they requested, when they visit most frequently, and where they're coming from. Later in this tutorial, you'll learn what all of this data means. But first, some background on how and where the reports come from.
