Test Your Forms

Once you have received notification that the keys have been added to the BU keyring, you can begin testing. Due to the sensitive nature of the information conveyed by your forms, testing your forms carefully is an important step in using PGP encryption software. Before you launch a form used for secure transactions, make sure you check the following:

  • Have you reviewed the basic steps to create a form?
  • Have you added the hidden tag to encrypt your form's output?
  • Have you used the same departmental e-mail address for both the form's output and the creation of the PGP key pair?
  • Have you verified that you can decrypt output e-mail from the form?
  • Have you added all essential visitor information to the form's required tag?
  • Have you linked to the form securely, using the https protocol?
  • Have you removed any non-secure links to the form?

Warning: Secure transaction forms should use e-mail output only. Always output sensitive information to an e-mail address rather than to a guestbook file or datafile in your webspace.

If you have problems, check out our FAQs on secure transactions, or go to WebCentral Help.
