Steps to Creating a Customized Search
After deciding which option (at left) for a customized search you
want to employ, you should follow the steps below:
- Create the search form. Copy the code as described in the example
you selected from the options section. Modify the code according
to the instructions on the appropriate Options page.
- Upload the file containing your search form. If you've created
a separate page for the form, we strongly recommend that you create
a directory called search at
the top level of your site, and put the form there. Doing so provides
visitors an intuitive URL for finding the search form:
www.bu.edu/yoursite/search/.
