RSS learning materials intro image

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) allows you to subscribe and read news from all your favorite websites in a single screen, without having to visit each and every site.

For web publishers, RSS means that site visitors will read your content more often, because the content is delivered to them. Additionally, other web publishers can include your site's news feeds on their own sites, driving more traffic to your site.

In a nutshell, RSS allows more people to share information more easily, which is what the World Wide Web is all about.

This site contains an introduction to RSS, instructions for subscribing and reading news feeds, and instructions for publishing news feeds on the BU Web. While some of the information is specific to the BU Web, most of it also applies to the World Wide Web.
