Using an Email Client to Read RSS

If you do not wish to use a news aggregator or a web browser to read news feeds, you may be able to use your current email application.

Thunderbird logo The open-source email application Thunderbird allows you to subscribe to and read news feeds in a way that is very similar to reading email. For information on subscribing to RSS feeds in Thunderbird, see the PCSC RSS page.
Outlook logo There are numerous plugins for Outlook that allow you to subscribe to news feeds and read them as if they were email messages. Two free plugins include RSS Popper and blogbot.
Opera logo The now-free Opera browser features RSS integration in its Mail tool.
