Using a News Aggregator to Read RSS

A news aggregator is an application that organizes news feeds from various sites in a single screen, allowing you to view all the news feeds to which you have subscribed easily and conveniently.

There are many different readers from which to choose, some free and others commercial. Readers are available for most operating systems, including Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. Web-based news aggregators act like personalized websites, allowing you to view your news feeds from any computer with Internet access.

You can find an extensive list of news aggregators on the Google Directory.

Some popular web-based aggregators include:

MyYahoo logo (free)
Bloglines logo (free)

Some popular desktop-based aggregators include:

FeedReader logo (Windows, free)
Vienna logo (Macintosh, free)
Liferea logo (Linux, free)
