Prerequisites for Departments That Want a Quick Link
- Quick Links are available only for the official web sites of academic departments,
research centers, and administrative units. Only a site administrator can
request a Quick Link.
- The site must be actively maintained. For example, for sites on www.bu.edu,
site administrators must regularly correct the broken links listed in their
site's Broken Links report, which is found at:
http://www.bu.edu/reports/your-department-directory/
- The actual page you want a Quick Link for (e.g., a department's
home page), must contain HTML title
and description tags. The
text of both the title and the description tags are displayed
on the search results page.
