Introduction

What is a Quick Link?

Because many visitors find your web site through the BU Search page, it's placement in search results is important. With a Quick Link, your site will be listed at the top of the results page.

This prominent placement means that visitors will more quickly and conveniently find the information they are looking for, the information that you are publishing for them.

How does a Quick Link work?

As administrators of the BU Search Engine, we can link a department's site to up to five keywords (search terms) or phrases of the department's choosing. Then when a visitor searches the BU Web using one or more of those keywords or phrases, the linked site is displayed at the top of the results page.

Who can have a Quick Link?

Any Boston University academic department, research center, or administrative unit can have a Quick Link for its site. Sites must be actively maintained.
