Introduction

The News Content Management System (CMS) allows departments to publish news items on the BU Web. A contributor adds a news item and an administrator approves it. Once the news item is approved and its publish date arrives, the item is published on several areas your website using special page templates.

News vs. News Releases

Though they are similar in name, the News CMS and News Release systems are designed for different uses. News releases are official items published by the Office of Public Information. News items have a greater range of content and are managed by individual departments.
