Zoom Tool
The
number of pre-selection zoom levels has increased from 11 to 14.
The most helpful feature, however, is that Fireworks MX allows for
zooming at any custom level.
The zoom tool
can be used just like the selection tool. You can open up a zoom
box and Fireworks will zoom in exactly to the specified area. The only adjustment made is that the selection is scaled to the longer of the horizontal or vertical sides to fill the work area.
The status line in the workspace displays the exact percentage
of the custom zoom level.
Fireworks 4 used to default to one of the pre-defined zoom levels.
Now you actually can fine-tune what you see on the screen.
Three modes are available to display Fireworks MX:
Standard Screen Mode
displays all windows with title bars and menus. It is the default
mode when Fireworks is installed and started.
Full Screen Mode with Menus hides
all window title bars and windows. One document is displayed in
the work area, the main Fireworks menu bar is on the top of the
screen.
Full Screen Mode
also hides the Fireworks menu bar and shows the area outside the canvas
as black.
