New Tools

All new tools are additions to the bitmap tools. Fireworks MX enlarges the repertory of bitmap tools to allow easier and more powerful bitmap editing. Here is an overview of the bitmap tools.

	The Rubber Stamp tool enables you to copy or clone one area of an image to another or to touch up portions of your image within the document. It used to be the only retouching tool in Fireworks 4.
	The Blur tool decreases the focus of selected areas in an image. It allows for "dissolving" imperfections of an image.
	The Smudge tool picks up color and pushes it in the direction that you drag in an image.
	The Sharpen tool sharpens areas in an image. Previously sharpening was only possible for after selecting pixels with a marquee or for the entire image.
	The Dodge tool lightens parts of an image. You can directly lighten parts of the image with this tool.
	The Burn tool darkens parts of an image, a function complementary to the dodge tool.

All bitmap tools are accessible through the menu that opens when you click the currently selected tool in the tool panel.

Each tool has options that can be set through the properties inspector. You can set size, shape, edge, and intensity of the selected tool.
