HTML Filter for Office 2000

HTML files converted from MS Word and Excel in Office 2000 contain significant extraneous code, some of which may be incompatible with older browsers. The HTML Filter removes much of this code from files created using Word. Click the link below to download the filter directly from Microsoft's Web site.

HTML Filter for Office 2000
Download and install the file Msohtmf2.htm.exe. Once installed, you will have an Export to Compact HTML option under your SAVE AS menu.

Internet Assistants for Word and Excel

Versions of MS Word and Excel prior to Office 97/98 require add-on programs to save HTML output, and custom installations of Office 97/98 may also lack these plug-ins. Click the links below to download the add-on programs directly from Microsoft's Web site.

Word 7.0 and 7.0a for Windows (Office 95)
Download and install the file wdia204z.exe. Once installed, you will have an *.html option under your SAVE AS menu.

Word 6.0 for Windows NT
Download and install the file wdia204z.exe. Once installed, you will have an *.html option under your SAVE AS menu.

Word 6.0, 6.0a and 6.0c for Windows
Download and install the file Wordia.exe. Once installed, you will have an *.html option under your SAVE AS menu.

Internet Assistant Update for Excel 97 (Windows 95/98/NT, Mac)
Online instructions for downloading and installing an update for Internet Assistant Excel Wizard for Office 97. If you have installed the Office 97 Service Pack, you do not need to install this update.
