Syntax

Is HTML a computer programming language? Not really. HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language, and the markup code simply tells Web browsing software how and where to display the text and images on the computer screen. HTML does have some specific ordering conventions and a systematic way of being arranged, but these basic rules are rather easy to learn.
