Components Overview

To begin publishing on the Web, think of your Web site in terms of the components that make up the individual pages.

  • Text - the primary means of conveying information
  • Images & graphics - often for navigation, diagramming, adding interest, etc.
  • Audio/Video & more - sound and movie clips, animation, presentations, etc.
  • HTML - formats the presentation of all the other components in a page

Before you use HTML to format your web pages, you'll want to use the right tools to prepare the other components.
