Studies have shown that most users do not look beyond the first 20 or so results when performing a web search. Therefore, a higher ranking in those results translates to more visitors to your site. This class will show you how to optimize the content and coding of your site so that it will appear higher in search results.

While the techniques learned in this class will be tailored specifically to the BU Web Search (powered by Google), many of those techniques are beneficial for improving result rankings for other search engines. They also increase your site's overall usability.
