Private Messaging

Private messages allow you to communicate with other forum users privately, which can be useful when what you want to say is not relevant to other users of the forum. There are two ways to create messages:

• When you view a forum, click PM below any post to send a message to the person who created the post.
• When you click Private Messages at the top of any Forums page, your Messages inbox appears. On the inbox page, click New Post to create a new message.

When you send the message, the recipient's Private Message link (at the top right of the screen, to the left of the "Log out" link) will show that there is a new message for the recipient. When the recipient reads the message, the message is moved from your Outbox to your Sentbox. This allows you to know when the message is read.
