Formatting a Post

The software running Forums@BU allows for extensive formatting of each post. How much you want to format a post is up to you, but we will go over each of the options available.

All of the formatting we'll do is based on BBCode. BBCode is a tag-based markup language like HTML. We will use the Forums@BU interface to insert these BBCode tags. Once you've become comfortable with BBCode, you can bypass the interface and just type out the tags yourself, but for now, we'll stick to using the buttons.

BBCode styles

In order to apply any of the BBCode styles, simply highlight the text you want to change in the Message Body field, then click the appropriate button.

We will refer to the BBCode Guide for the specifics of formatting a post.
