Linking to Your Forum

Promote your forum by linking to it from the appropriate areas. This can be on your department's web site, in an email to your colleagues, or in the signature to all your email messages.

Linking directly to your forum is simple. Browse to your forum, then copy the location from the location bar. It should be in the form:

http://www.bu.edu/phpbin/forums/viewforum.php?f=##

## will be a different number for every forum within Forums@BU.

Direct links make much more sense than sending your users to the Forums Index. This way users don't have to sort through other unrelated forums in order to find yours. Linking to the Topic Index lets users see the latest discussion on your forums without any additional clicks.
