Hue/Saturation adjustments
This effect allows to adjust the color, it's purity (which is referred
to as saturation), and the lightness of the color in an image.
When you check the Colorize checkbox the image will be colorized,
you can create interesting effects like "old" photographs
in the Daguerreotype style. You can also add color to grayscale
images.
Remember, that when effects are applied to a bitmap objects as live
effects they are actually part of the vector level. Therefore they
always stay editable.
Plug-ins
More and more Photoshop plugin-ins work with Fireworks. File can
even be imported/exported to/from Photoshop and the effects will
be transferred when both programs have the appropriate plug-ins
installed. There are many more effects in Fireworks which we cannot
go into since it would exceed the scope of this tutorial.
