Creating New Pages from Templates

After saving a template on your site, you are now able to begin creating new documents based on your templates. The enhanced New from Template dialogue box in Dreamweaver MX now lists all the available site definitions in Dreamweaver and also lists all available templates for each site. And in addition to listing all available templates, you now also see a preview window. With the name of a template highlighted, Dreamweaver displays a thumbnail of your template in the preview window.

Simply highlight the template you wish to base your new page on and click the Create button. Unless you specifically do not want Dreamweaver to maintain the integration of your new page with the original template, leave the check box next to "Update Page when Template Changes" turned on.
