Strategies for Accessing a Site
From Multiple Locations

Some content providers may need to access a Web site from multiple locations. They may work on their Web site in their office as well as from a home computer. Or they may need to access their site from their office as well as from a laptop computer when they are traveling.

In these cases, it is also best to use the version of the site on the Web server as the central/primary copy of the Web site.

Dreamweaver's synchronization features allow you to easily update your local copy of a site regardless of where you are working from or when you last accessed the site, whether you are working in your office, from home, or on the road. Simply connect to your web site, choose the synchronization feature, select the option to "Get newer files from remote" and let Dreamweaver do the rest of the work for you.

Once the site is synchronized, you can be sure you have the most recent versions of your files for editing.
