Detaching a Library Item

Should you need to edit the contents of a single library item, you have the option of detaching it from the master library item. Simply click on the library item on your page, access the properties inspector, and click the button to Detach from Original. At this point, the text, links, and graphics in your library item will be editable on that page only.

Please note that when you detach a library item, it will no longer be automatically updated in Dreamweaver when you make changes to the master library item. Dreamweaver will warn you of this when you detach it.
