Course Cartridges
Content purchased from publishers can be added to the course by importing the "cartridge" product.
Content Anywhere
Any type of content, including folders, items, assessments, surveys, and internal course links, can now appear in any content area of the course.
- Content can easily be copied and/ or moved to another place in the course
- Course links connect to content or tools in other areas
- Flexible placement of URLs allows for external links to be placed anywhere in content
areas
Multi-Language Support
Instructors can set the language of the course independently from the language setting of the overall system. Blackboard supports most European languages and multibyte character sets such as Japanese and Chinese.
Content Authoring Tools Improvements
Improved Text Editor Character Support: No more question marks appearing when copying from a Word document to the Visual Text Box Editor. Now compatible with both Windows and Mac OS. Affects both instructors and students.
Syllabus Builder
Create a course syllabus by uploading an existing syllabus or by using the built-in syllabus creation functionality to design and develop a course syllabus and lesson plans.
Spell Check
Spell Check has been added to Email, the Glossary tool and Assignment comments.
