Previewing a page

When you edit a draft in Contribute you can easily view your changes in a browser at any time, to ensure that your changes appear as you intend in the browser. Previewing your page also gives you an opportunity to test your links before you publish the page.

To preview a page in your browser, select File > Preview in Browser

Contribute will automatically start your system's web browser and preview your page. On some systems you might see the following alert message, which just lets you know Contribute will store files in a temporary folder while previewing your page. This message, along with several other alert messages in Contribute can be disabled by ticking the checkbox on the alert screen labeled "Don't warn again."

The F12 key on your keyboard is the shortcut key for previewing a page in the web browser. This is the same shortcut key used in Dreamweaver.
