E-mail draft review

Before you publish, you can make the draft available for others to review -- even if they don’t have Contribute or Dreamweaver. Use the Contribute e-mail review process to share your draft with others before you publish it.

To create an e-mail draft, select File > E-mail Review.

e-mail review option in file menu

Contribute automatically creates the temporary review copy of your page on the same server where you publish your site. Contribute also creates an e-mail message in your default e-mail application with a web address to the temporary page.

At this point, you will add the e-mail address or addresses in the "to:" field of the e-mail message. You can also customize the message Contribute creates and add notes of your own concerning the draft page.

Once the e-mail is sent, the recipient(s) clicks the web address link in the e-mail message to view your draft.

When you visit the page in Contribute, an alert message under your toolbar will indicate that you have a draft version posted for review and indicates the date and time you created your draft.

After you have received feedback through the e-mail review process, return to your original page (listed on the pages sidebar in Contribute), make the revisions, and click the Publish button to publish a final version.

Alternatively, you can click Cancel to remove your draft version without publishing anything.
