Adding images
There are three ways you can add an image to your web page:
- Use the Insert menu or the Image button to add an image
from your computer or website.
- Drag an image from another source to your Contribute draft.
- Copy and paste an image from another source on your Contribute
draft.
You can use the Insert menu or Image button in the toolbar to
add an image from your computer or website to a page. You can add
images from other sources by dragging them to the page. If the
image is from your computer, Contribute copies the image to an
images folder on your website when you publish the draft.

To drag an image from another source, resize your Contribute
window so you can see it alongside your Windows Explorer, Finder,
or the other application that contains the image. Then simple click,
drag, and drop the image from the other window onto the Contribute
page.
To copy and paste an image from another source, select the image
in the other window, select Edit > Copy from the menu, and then
toggle into the Contribute window, click the cursor where you want
to insert the image, and select Edit > Paste from the menu.
After you add an image to a page, you can change some of its properties.
Image properties include image source, size, padding, alignment,
border, and alternate text. Simply click on the image in Contribute,
click the right mouse button, and select Image Properties from
the pop-up menu. The dialogue box will give you access to all the
image properties.

You can also edit images with Contribute if you also have Macromedia
Fireworks installed on your computer. Editing an image in Fireworks
gives you greater control over the image and allows you to resize,
crop, and a number of other options not available in Contribute.
