Site Root URL

The Site Root URL for the Contribute site you are administering with Dreamweaver MX should be specified in the Dreamweaver MX site definition. Click the "Advanced" tab and select the "Contribute" category.

Compatibility with Contribute has already been activated at this point. Now you should see an area to specify your site root URL. This is a web address of your home page. This is often different from the remote connection information, especially on BU web servers where your home page might be www.bu.edu/history/ but your remote connection might be webdev.bu.edu/web/h/i/history/.

Specify the Site Root URL as the home page for your web site using the address where you would visit your site with a web browser.
